It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a team that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

What's clear is this ton was much more difficult to anticipate.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 came as she was the highest scorer, but this innings came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in training, it was a frustrating experience because it appeared I've had no rhythm completely," said Healy.

"However when you take the field, your competitive nature take over and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's fighting spirit has always been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in succeeding legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

"The possibility to go out there and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

Once she was removed her side needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, if necessary, we know we can achieve it."

That comment will be the final thing rival teams at this championship want to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this success coming after success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they exited the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a significant event.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she wished she had played with the discomfort.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have pushed back thoughts of retirement, this tournament is likely to be her last as captain in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as captain.
